Teen Boutique is a free, one-day shopping boutique for girls ages 13-19, from families in financial need. Teen girls are invited to Teen Boutique by social service agencies, schools, food pantries and community groups. Each girl is invited to choose and take home a week’s worth of clothing from thousands of donated items, as well as shoes and accessories. Everything offered is screened before the event for quality and only items that are new or gently worn and age appropriate are offered. Since the first Teen Boutique took place in November 2012, the Sharing Shelf has hosted more than 12 events serving over 2,000 teen girls throughout Westchester, providing more than 50,000 clothing items.

The Port Chester Carver Center has been serving the community’s children and families since 1943. The founders were African American parents, grassroots organizers and advocates for the minority community in Port Chester. They named the organization after the renowned African American scientist George Washington Carver. Today its programs serve a wide range of Port Chester residents, including children, teens, adults and senior citizens.
